WHEN ROSIE MET MORELLI'S

portobello-gelato-11.jpg

I must admit… this post is utterly selfish. It combines two of my favourite things. Notting Hill and Ice Cream. Look, even the pastel painted streets themselves scream ice cream!

I could just scoop these houses into a bowl and dive right in! Morelli’s is new in town. It didn’t take me long to get involved, and naturally I had to taste all of the flavours before making a decision.

Peach Bellini being the most interesting of the bunch! A marriage of two of my passions. Light, not too sweet, refreshing and really rather special.

Dulce de leche, also cracking. I plumped for a sundae. With all of the trimmings. Including my very own jug of hot chocolate fudge. The type that hardens as it hits the ice cream.

Oh yes! Clearly quite pleased with my choice, all thoughts of sharing went right out of the window!

Find them on Portobello Road, look for the purple awning next to Humming Bird (a potentially fatal combination!)

Fuelled by sugar we popped down into the market to pick up some bits for lunch and flowers for the office.
